November 13, 2008

Aldo Parodi appearing as "Rufino" in "Pérgola"

When asked how the Foundation would celebrate its ten year anniversary, President Todd Temkin simply replied “theater.” And with this statement, the Foundation has made it a reality and success that the great Chilean work of “Pérgola de las Flores,” written by Isidora Aguirre and composed by Francisco Flores del Campo in 1960, will be performed in Valparaíso this coming week.

Sponsored in part by the Regional Government, and in partnership with DUOC, UC, and TPS, the theatrical performance will be shown three times; 19 and 20 of November at 7:45pm in the Municipal Theater of Valparaíso, and the 22 of November at 9:15pm in Plaza Sotomayor. All performances are completely free and open to the public.

It deserves mention the list of famous national figures who will be appearing in the spectacle, Liliana Ross will appear as "Laurita Larraín," Claudia Perez as "Car it to me," Tito Bustamente as "Mayor," Claudius Valenzuela for "Pierre," and Aldo Parodi as "Rufino".

Stage production is in the hands of Aliki Constancio, theater director of DUOC, who will be assisted by students and specialists in stage design, costumes, and production of this cast of sixty people.

Tickets for the performances in the Municipal Theater can be obtained starting this Friday at their box office.
